[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 의정부시 시장 안병용은 쾌적한 도시환경 조성을 위해 하반기부터 일반건축물에 대한 건축법 위반행위 예방 홍보와 시 전역에 산재한 위반건축물에 대한 단속을 강화할 방침이라고 밝혔다.

현재, 우리 시 관내 건축물은 2만 6천여 동이 있으며, 위반건축물 단속은 일반지역내 공동주택을 제외한 지역은 건축디자인과, 일반지역 내 공동주택은 주택과, 개발제한구역은 도시과 등 3개 부서가 담당하고 있다고 했다.

건축허가나 신고(용도변경 등 포함) 없이 건축행위를 하게 되면, 첫째 위반 행위가 시정완료 될 때까지 고액의 이행강제금이 매년 1회씩 반복 부과되고, 둘째 수사기관에 고발되면 3년 이하의 징역이나 5억원 이하의 벌금이 부과되며, 마지막으로 건축물대장에 위반건축물로 표시되어 재산권행사, 각종 인허가(타 법령에 따른 영업신고 등) 신청시 제한을 받을 수 있다고 했다.
