[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5월 6일 의정부시 가능동주민센터는 온기심회(溫氣心會)봉사회가 어버이날을 맞이해 가능동 관내 독거노인 50가구에 가구당 통닭 1마리, 소면 1박스, 간식꾸러미, 카네이션 등을 포장해 전달했다고 밝혔다.

어버이날을 맞아 관내 저소득 독거 어르신들이 외롭지 않게 어버이날을 보낼 수 있도록 회원들이 직접 가구를 방문하여 카네이션과 물품을 전달하며 온정을 나누었다고 했다.

온기심회(溫氣心會) 봉사회는 주기적으로 독거 어르신들을 위해 식사와 김장김치를 제공하여 왔으며, 겨울철에는 취약 가구의 난방을 위해 연탄을 후원하는 등 다양한 나눔 활동에 앞장서 왔다고 했다. 

나승은 회장은 “이웃을 위해 나눔을 실천하고 그 의미와 기쁨을 회원들과 느끼고 경험할 수 있는 기회를 지속적으로 가져왔다”며, “이번 행사는 어르신들이 어버이날을 외롭지 않게 보내시길 바라는 마음으로 하게 되었으며, 앞으로도 다양한 봉사활동을 이어가겠다”라고 밝혔다.
