[서종협 기자 = 삼척시]삼척시(시장 박상수)가 ‘삼척기줄꽈배기’, ‘기줄꽈배기’ 2종에 대한 상표등록 절차를 추진한다고 밝혔다.

2021년 3월 상표 출원한 ‘삼척기줄꽈배기’, ‘기줄꽈배기’ 2종에 대해 최근 특허청으로부터 상표 등록결정을 받았다. 이에 ‘삼척기줄꽈배기’와 ‘기줄꽈배기’ 상표를 등록해 해당 상표에 대한 독점적·배타적인 법적 소유권을 확보할 계획이다.

기줄꽈배기는 삼척기줄다리기 행사 시 쓰이는 기줄 모양으로 반죽을 꼬아 튀긴 것이 특징으로, ‘2021 삼척정월대보름제’ 행사 시 처음으로 개최한 ‘제1회 삼척기줄꽈배기경연대회’에서 탄생했다.

‘2022 삼척정월대보름제’ 행사 중 개최한 ‘제2회 삼척기줄꽈배기경연대회’에서는 관내 꽈배기 업체와 시민들이 참여해 ‘커피 기줄꽈배기’, ‘연잎 기줄꽈배기’ 등 다양한 종류의 기줄꽈배기를 선보였다.
