[서종협 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 삼척시(시장 박상수)가 경유자동차 소유자를 대상으로 4,179건 1억1천8백여만 원의 2022년도 2기분 환경개선부담금을 부과했다고 밝혔다.

환경개선부담금은 오염물질 배출로 인한 환경개선사업 비용을 원인자가 부담하도록 하는 제도로 오염 저감 유도와 안정적인 투자 재원 확보를 위해 매년 3월과 9월에 부과하고 있으며 9월 16일부터 9월 30일까지로 납부기한이 지나면 부과금액의 3%에 해당하는 가산금이 부과된다.

납부 방법은 가까운 금융기관을 방문해 납부하거나 고지서에 기재된 납부 전용 계좌(가상계좌)로 이체 또는 현금입출금기, 위택스, 인터넷지로, 신용카드 등을 이용하여 납부할 수 있으며 기타 자세한 사항은 삼척시청 환경과로 문의하면 된다.

삼척시 관계자는 “환경개선부담금은 깨끗한 환경 조성을 위한 중요한 재원으로 활용되므로 적극적으로 납부에 동참해 줄 것을 당부드린다.”고 전했다.
