이 논평은 지난 5월 19일 민주당 강원 도당에서 처음 올린 것으로 확인됐다. 논평에는 당시 박 후보가 스승을 폭행해 집행유예를 받은 내용을 담고 있다. 민주당 강원 도당에 기재된 논평 내용을 보면 ‘과거 스승에게 패륜적인 폭행 행위를 한 국민의 힘 박상수 삼척시장 후보는 공직 후보자로서 자격이 없습니다.’라고 적혀 있다.
