[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 2022년 을지연습 기간인 지난 23일 포천시 소재 6군단 역사관 견학과 안보교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

신규 공직자의 안보의식 함양과 올바른 국가 비상대비의 이해를 위해 마련된 이번 견학에는 금철완 부시장을 비롯해 신규공직자 등 40명이 참여했다.

이날 참여 직원들은 6군단 역사관을 견학하며 6군단 홍보영상, 820완벽작전 동영상을 관람했으며 강건작 6군단장과의 간담회를 통해 우리의 안보를 지켜주는 군부대의 생생한 현장과 위기 대응 경험담을 확인하는 시간을 가졌다.

특히 강 군단장은 공직에 첫발을 내딛은 신규 직원들을 축하하며 공직자로서 책임감과 소명의식을 지닐 수 있도록 격려했다.

이어 오후에는 휴전선과 가장 가까운 국군 전망대인 태풍전망대를 방문해 분단의 아픔을 돌아보고 평화를 위한 을지연습의 중요성과 안보의 소중함에 대한 각오를 다졌다.

금철완 부시장은 “이번 안보 견학이 공무원들의 안보의식을 한층 더 높이는 계기가 되길 바란다” 며 “국가비상사태에 신속하고 능동적인 대처능력을 함양하여 2022년 을지연습에 전 직원이 투철한 사명감을 가지고 임할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
