[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시립박물관은 2022년 지역작가 초대전 개최를 위한 희망단체를 추가 모집한다고 밝혔다.

지난 2016년부터 개최하고 있는 박물관 지역작가 초대전은 속초에서 활동하는 단체(동호회)의 활성화를 위해 작품 활동과 발표 기회를 지원하고, 관람객들에게 새롭고 다양한 볼거리를 제공하기 위해 매년 희망전시회를 공개 모집하여 5~8개 전시회를 개최하고 있다고 했다.

지역작가 초대전을 희망하는 단체(동호회)는 속초에서 주된 작품 활동을 하며, 다른 기관(단체)으로부터 전시회 개최와 관련된 홍보물 제작 등 일체 비용을 지원받지 않고 있는 단체로서, 신청서를 작성하여 방문 또는 e-mail로 오는 4월 29일까지 신청하면 되고 접수된 신청서는 소정의 심사과정을 거쳐 3개 단체를 선정할 예정이며, 선정된 단체는 속초시립박물관에서 30일 이내의 전시회를 개최하고, 시립박물관에서는 전시 팸플릿, 현수막 등 홍보물을 제작하게 된다고 전했다.

그동안 속초시립박물관에서 개최한 지역작가 초대전은 시각예술장르 향토 작가 및 동호회의 작품 활동 활성화에 기여하고 있다는 평가와 함께 매년 전시회를 희망하는 단체도 증가하고 있다고 했다.
