[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 22일 오전 10시부터, K-water 횡성원주권지사는 갑천면 망향의 동산 일원에서 ‘제30회 세계 물의 날 기념식 및 호수길 청결운동’을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 행사는 K-water 직원, 갑천면 지역주민, 공무원, 지역 환경‧동물보호단체 등 110여명이 참석하며, 세계 물의 날 기념식 및 호수길 청결 운동 등이 추진됐고, 올해로 서른번째를 맞이하는 ‘세계 물의 날’의 제정 취지와 의미를 공유하고 지역의 대표적 관광명소인 호수길 청결운동을 병행함으로써 물의 소중함과 지역 수자원의 중요성을 다시 한번 인식하는 계기를 가졌다고 전했다.

이형묵 K-water 횡성원주권지사장은 “이번 행사를 통하여 지역사회를 위해 맑은 물 공급과 지역사회와의 소통을 더욱 확대함으로써지 지역의 수자원 품격 향상을 위해 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
