군은 준공 후 20년이 경과한 노후 공동주택 33개 단지(아파트 13, 연립주택 20)를 대상으로 이달 말일까지 해빙기 안전점검을 실시하며, 이번 안전점검은 봄철을 맞아 따뜻해진 날씨로 인해 해빙기에 발생할 수 있는 공동주택에 대한 건축물의 기울기, 균열 등에 대한 안전점검을 통해 재난사고를 미연에 방지하여 군민의 인명과 재산피해를 예방하기 위함이라고 전했다.

이에 따라 군은 주택부서 공무원과 민간전문가인 건축사와 점검반을 편성하여 점검대상 시설물의 해빙기 취약사항 등 전반에 대한 집중점검을 실시한다고 했다. 

공동주택의 경우 지반침하와 석축․옹벽의 균열 및 전도사항, 단지 내 구조체 등의 손상․균열 등 위험 여부, 시설물 유지관리 실태, 주요구조부의 손상 및 균열여부, 여부 등을 중점적으로 점검할 계획이며, 군은 점검결과를 토대로 조치가 필요한 사항은 해당 관리주체에 제공해 시설물에 대해 신속히 보수·보강을 하도록 행정지도 할 방침이라고 밝혔다.
