[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시가 스마트폰 사용자 대다수가 이용하고 있는 SNS인 카카오톡을 활용한 ‘강원도 동해시’ 계정을 지난해부터 개설해 시민과의 모바일 소통 강화에 나서고 있다고 밝혔다.

동해시는 기존에 운영하고 있는 블로그, 페이스북 등과는 다른 메신저형 채널의 장점을 살려 다양한 정보 제공과 실시간 양방향 소통을 이어갈 방침이라고 했다.

카카오톡 채널은 별도의 회원가입 없이 카카오톡 내 검색창에서 ‘강원도 동해시’를 검색 후 채널을 추가하면 누구나 이용할 수 있다고 전했다.

1:1 대화방을 통해 시청 방문 및 전화통화 없이도 시민들의 궁금 사항을 편리하게 묻고 빠르게 답변을 받을 수 있어, 지난해 횡단보도·CCTV 설치 등 시민 건의사항을 수시·접수 처리하기도 했으며, 올해는 재난·재해 행동요령 및 문화관광, 정책, 미담사례 등을 감성적인 사진, 동영상, 카드뉴스 형식의 콘텐츠로 제작해 시민들에게 적극 전달할 계획이라고 했다.

박희종 홍보소통담당관은 “카카오톡은 높은 접근성과 간편한 이용 방법으로 학생부터 어르신까지 전 세대가 사용하는 소통채널이다”며,“시민들에게 이용방법을 적극적으로 홍보하여, 계층별 양방향 소통채널로 활성화시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
