[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월 28일, 횡성군이 군소음 피해 보상금 신청 접수를 마감한 결과, 접수율이 95.81%로 잠정 집계됐다고 밝혔다.

올해부터 ‘군용 비행장·사격장 소음 방지 및 피해 보상에 관한 법률'이 시행됨에 따라 국방부가 정한 소음지도 내 거주하는 군민들은 피해 보상금을 받을 수 있게 되었고, 신청 대상은 지난 2020년 11월 27일부터 지난 해까지 보상대상지역에 주민등록지를 두고 실제 거주한 주민이며, 소음 피해 지역에 따라 1종에서 3종까지 최대 월 3만원에서 6만원의 보상금이 지급되고, 전입시기와 실제 거주일, 근무지, 사업장 위치 등에 따라 감액될 수 있다고 했다.

지난 2월 28일, 우편 및 방문 접수를 마감한 결과, 관내 보상금 지급 대상자 16,754명 가운데 16,042명이 신청하여 접수율은 95.81%로 집계됐다고 전했다.  

군은 신청접수를 마침에 따라 보상금 전산입력 및 산정 절차에 본격 돌입하며, 이를 위해 기간제근로자 7명을 투입하여 횡성읍에 전담 사무실을 마련하고 3월부터 올해 9월까지 운영하고, 오는 3월 중순까지는 보상금 신청서 전산 입력에 이어, 5월 중순까지 보상금 검토 및 산정, 오는 5월 말까지 보상금 확정 및 통보할 예정이라고 했다.

또한, 보상금은 오는 8월 중 지급되며, 이의신청을 통한 2차 지급은 10월경, 보상금 재심의를 통한 3차 지급은 올해 12월로 예정돼 있고. 한편, 보상금 신청 기한을 놓쳤다면, 내년 초 접수기간 재신청해야 한다고 전했다.
