[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 오는 2월 한달동안 작은도서관 운영관리 업무의 효율성 제고를 위한 실태조사를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

작은도서관 운영 실태조사는 작은도서관 운영환경과 문제점을 조사해 작은도서관의 양적 질적 성장을 지원하기 위해 매년 실시하고 있다고 전했다.

운영 실태조사 대상은 2021년 12월 말 기준으로 동해시에 등록된 공립 및 사립작은도서관으로 무릉작은도서관 등 4개의 공립작은도서관과 우리작은도서관 등 15개의 사립작은도서관이 해당된다고 했다.

작은도서관 운영 실태조사는 도서관의 등록사항, 운영자 기본사항, 시설 규모, 소장 자료, 인력 현황, 이용 현황, 독서문화프로그램 운영 현황 등 39개 항목으로 조사가 진행된다고 했다.

작은도서관 운영평가 시스템을 통해 진행되는 이번 조사는 작은도서관 운영자가 시스템에 관련 정보를 입력하면 확인 과정을 거쳐 문화체육관광부에 제출되고, 제출된 운영 실태조사 결과는 최종 검토 및 분석을 통해 6월 중 결과가 공개될 예정이라고 했다. 

전춘미 평생교육센터소장은 “2022년 작은도서관 운영 실태조사를 통해 관내 사립작은도서관의 운영실태를 점검하고 평가 결과를 기초로 향후 강원도의 작은도서관 운영 활성화 지원사업 신청 시 기초 자료로 활용할 예정이다”라고 밝혔다.
