[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 양주시 덕정 행복마을관리소는 덕정동, 봉양동 일대 공공하수도 등 배수설비에 대한 실태조사를 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 실태조사는 지난 1일부터 15일까지 2주간 진행했으며 하수 악취로 인한 주민 불편을 해소하고 안전하고 쾌적한 생활환경을 조성하기 위해 덕정 행복마을관리소의 지킴이들이 2인 1조 2개조로 나눠 회천1동 398개의 맨홀·하수구·배수관의 상태를 점검했다고 했다.

점검결과 낙엽과 꽁초 등 쓰레기가 쌓여 침수 피해를 유발할 수 있는 27개소, 노후 및 파손으로 인한 교체가 필요한 3개소를 발견하고 원인분석 등 안전 진단을 진행한 후 즉시 조치할 수 있도록 회천1동 행정복지센터에 안내했다고 했다.

양주시 관계자는 “덕정 행복마을관리소와 회천1동이 서로 협력해 주민의 불편을 해소하고 더 나은 생활환경을 조성하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 여러 기관과 협력해 깨끗하고 안전한 마을을 만들어가기 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
