차세대 사회보장정보시스템 구축사업(복지멤버십)은 다양한 복지사업 중 자신이 받을 수 있는 서비스를 몰라서 신청하지 못하는 일이 없도록 ‘내가 받을 가능성이 있는 복지서비스’를 생애주기별로 찾아서 안내하는 사업으로, 올해 9월부터 시행됐다고 했다.

원주시는 몰라서 신청하지 못하는 대상자를 발굴하고 수급 가능한 복지서비스에 대한 상담을 적극적으로 했다. 이에 지난 3개월간 59,708명이 복지멤버십에 가입하는 성과를 냈고, 1,015명이 기초생활수급자, 바우처 등의 복지서비스를 지원받았다고 전했다.

원주시 관계자는 “앞으로도 몰라서 신청하지 못하는 대상자가 없도록 복지멤버십을 적극적으로 안내하여 복지사각지대를 없애고, 많은 시민들에게 맞춤형 복지서비스를 제공하여 만족도를 높이겠다.”라고 말했다.
