[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평로타리클럽·가평잣고을시장상인회 주관으로 오는 6월 6일 오전 8시부터 '제27회 환경의 날 기념 및 제26년차 건강걷기대회'를 진행한다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 가평군민 누구나 참여 가능하며, 별도의 사전 신청 없이 오는 6월 6일 행사 당일 오전 8시까지 잣고을 광장으로 오면 된다고 했다.

잣고을 광장에서 출발하여 레일바이크 앞, 자라섬분수대, 고등학교 세븐일레븐을 지나 송어횟집, 스테이83, 자라섬분수대를 통해 다시 잣고을 광장으로 돌아오는 코스로 약 4km정도의 거리이다. 

'제27회 환경의 날 기념 및 제26년차 건강걷기대회'에 참여하는 사람에게 추첨을 통해 드릴 100여 가지의 선물도 준비되어있다고 했다.

행사 관계자는 “이번 행사는 탄소중립이라는 중요한 화두를 가지고 있지만 ‘걷기’라는 쉬운 일상 행위로 진행된다. 가평군민 누구나 참여 가능하니 지구도 살리고 건강도 지키는 가장 쉬운 걷기의 중요성을 알리는 이번 행사에 많은 참여 바란다.”고 전했다.
