[김학영 기자=경기북부] 경기필하모닉은 3월 21일(일) 오후 5시 경기아트센터 대극장, 23일(화) 오후 7시 30분 예술의전당 콘서트홀에서 2021년 ‘헤리티지 시리즈’를 처음으로 선보인다고 밝혔다. 경기필은 2021년‘헤리티지 시리즈’를 통해 음악사의 기념비적인 작품을 선정해 연주하고자 한다고 전했다.

3월 공연은 마시모 자네티의 지휘로 바그너 ‘지그프리트 목가’, 슈만 첼로 협주곡, 베토벤 교향곡 4번을 연주한다. 바그너가 작곡한 ‘지그프리트 목가’는 바그너가 아내 코지마를 위해 작곡한 음악이다. 아내 코지마의 서른세번째 생일을 축하하기 위해 깜짝 선물로 준비했다. 루체른 호수 인근에서 작곡된 이 곡은 호숫가를 떠올릴 만큼 평화롭고 아름답다. 

코지마의 일기에는 “잠에서 깨었을 때, 나는 음악 소리를 들었다. 그 소리는 점점 커져갔다. 나는 더 이상 꿈을 꾸고 있다고 생각할 수 없었다. 음악이 울리고 있었다. 나는 눈물을 흘렸다.”라고 적혀 있다. 

이어서 스무 살의 나이에 최연소로 드레스덴 슈타츠카펠레 첼로 수석에 임명되었던 이상 엔더스가 슈만 첼로 협주곡을 연주한다. 첼로가 가진 가능성을 극대화한 이 작품은 슈만 음악세계에 대한 이해도를 높여줄 것이다. 깊은 통찰력으로 지적인 연주를 들려주는 이상 엔더스가 국내 연주악단과 오랜만의 협연 무대라 더욱 기대된다. 

이후 베토벤 교향곡 4번이 이어진다. 베토벤 교향곡 4번은 영웅적인 특징이 부각되는 그의 교향곡 3번과 5번 사이에 놓여있다. 간소하면서도 독특한 아름다움이 부각되는 특징이 있다. 

경기필은 2019년부터 시작된 ‘베토벤 전곡 사이클’을 이어갈 예정이다. 이번 공연에서는 베토벤 교향곡 4번을 연주한다. 경기필 상임지휘자 마시모 자네티는  “2019년부터 총 9개의 베토벤 교향곡 중 6곡을 진행했다. 2021년에 나머지 베토벤 작품들을 연주하며, 베토벤 사이클을 완성할 것”이라고 말했다.

The Gyeonggi Philharmonic announced that it will be presenting the'Heritage Series' for the first time in 2021 at the Grand Theater of the Gyeonggi Art Center on March 21 (Sun) at 5 pm and at 7:30 pm in the Seoul Arts Center on March 21 (Tue). Gyeonggi-pil reported that he would like to select and perform monumental works of the history of music through the “Heritage Series” in 2021.

The March performance will be conducted by Massimo Zanetti and perform Wagner's "Siegfried Pastoral", Schumann Cello Concerto, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 4. Wagner's "Siegfried Pastoral" is music that Wagner wrote for his wife Kojima. It was prepared as a surprise gift to celebrate his wife Kojima's thirty-three birthday. Composed near Lake Lucerne, this song is peaceful and beautiful enough to remind you of the lakeside.

In Kojima's diary, “When I woke up, I heard music. The sound got louder and louder. I couldn't think I was dreaming anymore. The music was ringing. I cried.”

Subsequently, Sang Enders, the youngest member of the Dresden Statzkapelle cello at the age of 20, plays the Schumann Cello Concerto. This work, which maximizes the possibilities of cello, will enhance your understanding of the world of Schumann's music. I am more expected that Enders will be a concert stage for the first time in a long time with a Korean orchestra, since he can hear his intellectual performance with deep insight.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 4 follows. Beethoven's Symphony No. 4 lies between his symphonies No. 3 and No. 5, where heroic character is emphasized. It is characterized by its simple yet unique beauty.

Gyeonggi-pil is planning to continue the'Beethoven Whole Song Cycle' that began in 2019. In this performance, Beethoven's Symphony No. 4 is played. “Since 2019, we have performed six of the nine Beethoven symphonies. He said in 2021 he will play the rest of the Beethoven works and complete the Beethoven Cycle.”
