[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 9일 가평군은 한국매니페스토실천본부 주관 ‘2021 전국 기초단체장 매니페스토 우수사례 경진대회’에서 전자민주주의 분야에서 우수상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

매니페스토 우수사례 경진대회는 기초단체장의 공약이행 우수사례를 발굴·공유하기 위해 한국매니페스토실천본부의 주최로 매년 1회 열리는 대회라고 했다.

이번 경진대회는 자치단체장의 공약과 정책 등 우수사례를 발굴·공유해 주민이 체감하는 지방민주주의 모델을 구축하고 정책역량 강화의 기회를 마련하기 위해 ‘새로운 미래, 담대한 여정’이라는 슬로건으로 반부패·청렴 및 권익개선, 일자리 및 소득불균형 완화, 안구구조 변화대응, 기후환경, 전자민주주의 강화, 지역문화, 공동체강화 등 7개 분야의 사례로 평가했다고 했다.

전국 159개 시군구에서 총 376개 사례를 공모했으며 1차 서류심사를 통해 209개의 사례를 선정한 후 지난 9일 2차 온라인 언택트 방식으로 심사한 결과 7개 분야별 우수사례를 최종 선정했다고 했다.

가평군은 일자리 및 소득불균형 완화 분야에 ‘가평군 잣고을시장 활성화’를 주제로 잣고을 시장을 중심으로 시장 생태계를 형성하고 있는 발전 모습을 소개하여 1차 서류심사를 통과했다고 전했다.

김성기 가평군수는 “매니페스토 우수사례 경진대회에 최초로 도전하여 우수상을 받아 군민과 군정이 코로나19 어려운 상황을 슬기롭게 극복하고 있다는 점을 인정받은 뜻깊은 결과”라며 “앞으로도 민선7기 공약사업들이 차질없이 추진되고 보다 많은 우수사례를 발굴할 수 있도록 최선을 다할 것“이라고 밝혔다.
