[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 전국 기초자치단체를 대상으로 실시한 한국매니페스토실천본부 주관 ‘2021년 민선 7기 전국 기초단체장 공약이행 및 정보공개 평가’에서 최우수(SA) 등급을 받았다고 밝혔다.

강원지역 18개 기초지자체 중 총점 100점 만점에 90점을 넘어 SA 등급을 받은 지자체는 원주시가 유일하고, 한국매니페스토평가단은 지난 2월부터 전국 기초단체장을 대상으로 2021년 12월 31일 기준 공약 이행 완료, 공약목표 달성도, 주민소통, 웹소통, 공약 일치도 등 5개 분야에 대한 평가 경과를 SA부터 D등급까지 5개 등급으로 분류·평가했다고 했다.

원주시 민선 7기 공약 이행 완료도는 92.8%로 전국 평균 71.72%보다 21.04% 높고, 강원도 평균 70.33%보다 22.47% 높았다고 전했다.

특히 공약사항 관리규칙의 제정(2021.12.31.), 주민참여 공약평가단 운영과 홈페이지 공약 추진현황 공개 등 시민과의 약속 이행에서 좋은 평가를 받았다고 했다.

원주시는 2017년 이후 최근 5년간 SA등급 4회, A등급 1회의 평가를 받으며 원창묵 전 원주시장의 공약사업들을 성공적으로 마무리했다고 전했다.
