[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 8월 21일 의정부시청소년재단, 흥선청소년문화의집은 관내 청소년을 대상으로 자원봉사활동 '청소년이 만드는 어르신 코로나19 안전 지킴이'를 운영하였다고 밝혔다.

'청소년이 만드는 어르신 코로나19 안전 지킴이'는 현재 코로나19 바이러스가 재확산 되는 시점에서 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역사회 관내 독거 어르신들을 지원하고자 진행되었고, 이번 봉사활동에 참여한 청소년들은 자원봉사 소양교육을 듣고 코로나19 바이러스에 대한 사전 교육 및 예방수칙을 학습한 뒤 독거 어르신들의 고충을 이해하고 독거 어르신들의 코로나19 예방 지원을 위한 안내문 및 키트를 제작·기부하는 활동을 진행했다고 했다.

흥선청소년문화의집 김진관 관장은 “코로나19 바이러스가 재확산 되는 심각한 상황 속에서 독거 어르신들을 위해 청소년들이 주도적으로 봉사하는 모습이 매우 인상 깊었다.”며, “앞으로도 청소년이 지역사회를 위해 봉사하고 기여할 수 있는 다양한 활동 들을 전개해 나가도록 적극 지원하겠다.”고 전했다.
