[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시는 의정부영상미디어센터에서 시민이 직접 기획한 온라인 영화 상영회를 개최한다고 밝혔다.  

오는 11월 20일 토요일부터 이번 온라인 상영회는 ‘밥정’, ‘마미’ 등 총 9작품의 영화를 비대면으로 상영하며, 각 작품 당 관람인원 150명을 선착순으로 신청 접수할 예정이라고 전했다.  

의정부영상미디어센터는 코로나19 바이러스 확산으로 인해 침체된 영화 및 영상문화를 진흥하고 시민의 문화향유권을 신장하기 위해 온라인 상영회를 기획했으며, 특히 이번 상영회는 시민이 직접 기획한 상영회라는 점에서 더욱 의미 있는 것으로 알려졌다고 했다.

이번 상영회는 의정부영상미디어센터와 4인의 시민 ‘이유경, 김진선, 곽소영, 윤지현’ 영화프로그래머가 함께 기획한 것으로, 시민 영화프로그래머는 센터가 제공하는 8주간의 영화제 기획자 양성 과정을 수료하며 전문성을 길렀다고 했다.    

4인의 시민 영화프로그래머는 이번 상영회에서 ‘당신에게 사랑이란?’을 주제로 9편의 영화를 선정했으며, 오는 11·12월에 걸쳐 각자가 선정한 상영작을 영상으로 소개할 예정이고, 11월 20일 토요일부터 영화 소개 영상이 센터 인스타그램, 유튜브 등 SNS채널에서 공개된다고 전했다.  

영화 관람을 신청한 시민에게도 온라인 관람 링크와 함께 영화 소개 영상이 제공되며, 영화 관람 신청은 센터 홈페이지에 공개되는 링크를 통해 신청서를 작성·제출하면 된다고 했다.

이번 상영회 기획에 참여한 이유경 시민 영화프로그래머는 “직접 영화를 선정하고 영화를 소개하며 문화생산자로서 활동할 수 있어 뜻깊었다.”며 “이번 상영회를 통해 코로나 상황으로 힘겨울 우리 시민들에게 작게나마 위로와 응원을 전하고 싶다.”라고 밝혔다. 

한편, 의정부영상미디어센터는 의정부 시민의 영상 활용 능력을 높이고 시민 간의 소통과 지역사회의 원활한 교류를 목적으로 하는 공공미디어 서비스 시설로, 신한대학교 산학협력단이 위탁받아 운영하고 있다고 밝혔다.
