[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 9일 박윤국 포천시장은 대진대학교에서 최고 경영자(CEO) 과정 수강생을 대상으로 한 특별 강연에 강연자로 나섰다고 밝혔다. 

대진대학교의 초청으로 마련된 이 날 강연에서 박윤국 시장은 ‘한반도 중심도시 포천의 비전과 전략’라는 주제로 약 두 시간 동안 포천의 청사진을 밝히고 열띤 분위기 속에서 강의를 이어나갔다고 했다.

박 시장은 포천의 발전 방향의 주요 기본 원칙으로 미래 경쟁력을 키우는 스마트 도시, 숲과 물에 문화를 더한 문화관광 도시, 일상이 따뜻해지는 생활중심 도시를 제시하며 인구 30만 규모의 친환경 자족도시 건설을 최종 목표로 삼아 시정 운영을 할 것이라고 밝혔다.

포천시는 행정구역(면적 826,57㎢)의 약 24%가 군사시설보호구역으로 지정되어 있을 뿐만 아니라, 주한미군 최대 훈련장인 영평 로드리게스 사격장, 동양 최대 규모의 승진훈련장 등 군 시설로 인한 피해는 물론, 각종 수도권 규제로 인해 지역경제가 장기간 침체돼 왔다고 전했다.
