[김현우 기자 = 가평] 18일 가평군은 지역과 대학의 공동발전을 모색하기 위해 군청 소회의실에서 포천 소재 대진대학교와 상생발전 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 서태원 군수, 임영문 총장을 비롯한 양 기관 관계자 등 10여명이 참석해 협약서를 교환했다.

양 기관은 협약에 따라 군 발전을 위한 공공정책 개발 및 자문, 군 현안사항에 대한 공동연구, 문화․관광 자원 및 축제 프로그램 등 개발 자문, 주민․공직자 역량강화를 위한 교육지원사업 추진, 대학과 가평군의 경쟁력 확보 등을 위해 상호 협력해 나가기로 했다.

이날 서태원 군수는 “오늘 업무협약을 계기로 지역과 대학의 공동 발전을 이루는 교두보가 마련되었다”며 “상호신뢰를 바탕으로 실질적인 관학협력을 추진해 자연을 경제로 꽃피우는 도시, 가평의 경쟁력을 한층 높여 나갈 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.
