[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 11일 포천시와 (사)희망을나누는사람들은 취약계층 아동·청소년지원을 위해 ‘희망나눔연결운동’ 업무협약을 맺었다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식은 두 기관이 상호협력을 강화해 포천시의 미래를 이끌어 갈 아이들이 건강하게 성장해 갈 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

협약에 따라 (사)희망을나누는사람들은 포천시로부터 장학생을 추천받아 10명에게 연 600만 원의 장학금을, 2명에게는 200만 원 상당의 컴퓨터를 지원하며 관내 복지시설 등에 생활용품까지 총 2억 원 상당을 후원할 예정이라고 했다.

김정안 회장은 “자라나는 아동 청소년들이 꿈과 희망을 품고 올바르게 성장할 수 있는 환경을 조성하도록 양 기관이 적극적으로 협력하고, 더 나아가 주변의 어려운 이웃을 외면하지 않고 나눔을 적극 실천에 옮기도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.

박윤국 시장은 “단 한명도 소외됨이 없는 행복복지도시 포천을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
