[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시는 폐광지역의 생생한 목소리를 시정에 반영하기 위해 오늘 오전 10시 30분 도계읍 행정복지센터 앞 주차장에서 폐광지역사업단 개소식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
개소식에는 박상수 삼척시장을 비롯해 삼척시의회 의원, 지역주민 등 50명이 참석했으며, 폐광지역사업단 경과 보고와 현판식 및 기념사진 촬영 등이 진행됐다.
폐광지역사업단은 폐광지역의 어려운 여건 개선과 정책개발 등 여론을 수렴하고, 공무원들이 직접 지역에 상주하면서 주민의견 등을 정책에 반영할 수 있도록 하고자 설립됐다.
폐광지역사업단은, 경제진흥국 자원개발과가 올해 1월 1일부터 삼척시 부시장 직속기관으로 조직개편이 되었으며, 도계읍 행정복지센터 3층에서 본격적인 업무를 수행하게 된다.
