[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 삼척시농업기술센터는 27일 오전 근덕면에 소재한 삼척시농·축협연합사업단 사무실에서 시에서 생산되는 쌀의 최초 해외수출을 기념하고 축하하기 위한 ‘삼척동자 맑은 쌀’ 해외수출 선적식 행사를 개최했다.

 

시는 삼척동자 맑은 쌀 수출을 위해 지난 9월 삼척시와 수출업체 2곳, 농축협연합사업단 2곳이 수출 협의를 시작하여, 10월에는 수출물량 계약체결 등의 과정을 거쳐 이번에 삼척동자 쌀 100톤(10,000포/10kg) 2억 2백만 원을 수출하게 되었다.

 

이번에 수출하는 삼척동자 맑은 쌀은 미국 볼티모어항에 도착하게 되며 미국 거주 교포 및 아세안의 쌀밥과 초밥용 등으로 활용된다.
