[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 2022년 1월부터 3년간 홍천군이 양질의 하수도 서비스를 제공한다고 밝혔다.

군은 지난 11월 29일 공공하수도 및 가축분뇨처리시설에 대한 통합운영 관리대행 업무협약을 체결, 전문성 향상 및 기술성을 강화했고, 군은 그동안 1만 6,000t/일의 홍천하수처리장 외 41개소의 공공하수도와 100t/일의 가축분뇨자원화시설을 분리해 운영해왔다고 했다. 

두 시설은 적용되는 법령과 관련 부처가 달라 운영 및 관리방법에는 차별성이 있지만 최종 방류수는 홍천하수처리장에서 처리되고 있어 유연한 업무호응 효과와 유사업무 중복방지 등 운영효율이 더욱 증대될 것으로 예상된다고 했다.

특히 객관적인 운영비용 산정을 위해 실시한 원가산정용역 결과 연간 약 6억원의 운영비용이 절감되는 것으로 확인, 예산절감 효과도 증대됐다고 전했다.

장영옥 환경과장은 “통합운영 관리대행을 통해 체계적이고 효율적인 관리로 수질오염을 최소화하고 군민들에게 깨끗하고 쾌적한 환경을 제공하는데 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
