지난해 코로나19 방역지침에 따라 경로당 내 취사와 급식 금지로 정부양곡 지원 대신 냉난방비 전환 신청을 받아 13개 경로당에 지원한 바 있으며, 올해도 관내 133개 경로당을 대상으로 정부양곡 대신 냉난방비로 전환 수요조사를 통해 희망 경로당에 냉·난방비를 지원하고, 이 외에도 방역물품과 식사대용 관련 품목(떡, 도시락, 기타 간식 등 가정에서 취식 가능한 품목)을 구입할 수 있도록 한시적으로 사용범위를 확대할 계획이라고 전했다.
