[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 15일, 화천군은 조만간 봄철 영농활동이 본격적으로 시작됨에 따라 이달 중 보조사업자인 화천군 농업인단체협의회가 참여하는 화천군 농업인력 지원센터를 운영한다고 밝혔다.

화천군은 지원센터의 전담인력 인건비와 운영비, 현장교육비, 교통 수송 숙박비, 보험료 등을 지원하게 되며, 농업인력 지원센터는 전담인력을 배치해 지역 농업인과 관내·외 유휴인력 중개, 구인·구직 상담 역할을 수행하게 된다고 했다. 

특히 농업인에게 조금이라도 숙련된 인력을 지원하기 위해 센터 내에 구직자들의 농작업 교육 등을 전담할 인력까지 배치할 계획이며, 구직자로 구성된 영농작업반을 조직하는 등 지원인력의 전문성과 운용의 효율성을 높인다는 방침이고, 농촌인력 지원센터에서는 내국인 뿐 아니라 주한 외국인, 외국인 계절근로자  등의 교육과 관리, 상담 업무도 지원하게 된다고 전했다.

보유한 인력에 비해 수요가 많으면, 지원은 독거노인, 장애농가 등 기초생활보호대상 농가(1순위), 고령농가, 여성 단독 농가, 소규모 농가(2순위), 과수·채소 등 수작업 인력이 많이 필요한 농가(3순위) 순으로 이뤄지게 되며, 태풍이나 우박, 폭설 등 자연재해로 시급한 복구가 필요한 농가에는 우선 순위와 상관없이 인력 지원이 가능하다고 했다. 

최문순 화천군수는 “농업인들이 봄철 영농철에 보다 원활하게 농사에 전념할 수 있도록 인력수급 상황 모니터링을 강화하겠다”고 강조했다.
