[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 2월 22일 강원도는 기업에 데이터 제공 및 활용을 지원하는 기관인 ‘한국데이터산업진흥원(K-DATA)’과 업무협약을 체결한다고 밝혔다.

데이터 산업 전반의 유통과 인력양성 지원을 통해 데이터 생태계의 혁신과 새로운 가치 창출을 목표로 하는 K-DATA는, 데이터 구매 및 가공을 지원하는 데이터바우처 지원사업을 비롯하여, 데이터 융합인재 양성, 데이터 인증 등의 사업을 추진하고, 데이터 안심구역 운영과 가명정보 결합지원 등을 통해 국민들의 데이터 활용을 지원하고 있다고 했다.

이번 협약을 통해, 강원도는 K-DATA와 함께 도내 기업들을 위한 데이터 제공 사업을 추진한다고 전했다.

K-DATA가 추진하는 ‘데이터바우처 지원사업’을 통해 도내 기업들이 적시에 필요한 데이터를 구매하거나 활용할 수 있도록 하여 기업들의 데이터 수급 균형을 유지하도록 한다고 했다.

또한 데이터 관련 인적․물적 교류를 활발히 하여, 데이터 인재를 양성하는 한편,데이터 가공․분석 지원사업을 통해 창출된 기업들의 성과를 공유함으로써, 도내 데이터 활용 확산을 이끌어갈 계획이라고 했다.

또한, 이번 업무협약을 계기로 K-DATA 및 국내․외 데이터 기업들과의 네트워크를 구축하는 한편, ‘정밀의료 산업’ 등 道가 중점 추진 중인 데이터 기반 사업들을 홍보할 방침이라고 했다.

윤인재 강원도 첨단산업국장은 “수열에너지 융복합 클러스터 등을 통해 우리나라의 데이터 산업을 견인할 강원도가 K-DATA와 업무협력을 하게 된 것은 의미가 깊다”면서, “올해에는 다양한 프로그램으로 기업들의 데이터 접근성을 높이도록 노력할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
