성금은 대한노인회 홍천군지회 회원들이 십시일반 모아 마련했으며, 전달식에는 이형주 지회장과 현종길 홍천읍 분회장, 사영한 서석면 분회장, 임한천 두촌면 분회장이 참석했다고 했다. 

이형주 지회장은 “추운 겨울 소외되는 이웃이 없이 모두가 따뜻한 겨울을 보냈으면 하는 마음에 성금을 기탁하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 온정이 넘치는 홍천을 만들기 위해 함께 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

허필홍 홍천군수는 “이웃사랑을 실천해 주신 대한노인회 홍천군지회에 감사드린다”며 “전달해 주신 성금은 도움이 절실한 어려운 이웃들에게 소중하게 전달하겠다”고 말했다.

이날 전달된 성금은 강원도 사회복지공동모금회를 통해 도움이 필요한 어려운 이웃을 위해 사용될 예정이라고 했다.
