가평군은 그동안 지역 내 영화관이 없어 문화생활에 불편을 겪고 있는 지역주민의 편의를 위해 2019년 가평읍 음악역1939 내 작은 영화관 '시네마1939'를 개관한데 이어 조종청소년 문화의집 내 '조종시네마' 개관을 앞두고 있으며, 이번에 개관하는 조종시네마는 조종면 현창로 35에 조종청소년 문화의집과 같은 날 개소 예정이고, 조종시네마는 총면적 564.3㎡ 로 1층 카페테리아, 3층 2개 상영관 총 99석을 보유하고 있다고 했다. 

오는 25일과 26일 양일간 진행되는 무료 영화 상영에서는 윤재근 감독, 윤계상, 박용우 주연의 '유체이탈자'와 조은지 감독, 류승룡, 오나라 주연의 '장르만 로맨스' 두 작품이 상영되고, 해당 기간 동안 1관에서는 11시부터 매 2시간마다 '유체이탈자'가 상영되며, 2관에서는 11시 20분부터 2시간 10분 간격으로 '장르만 로맨스'가 상영되며, 각 관별 하루 5회 상영하며 관람티켓은 당일 영화시작 2시간 전부터 현장에서 선착순 발권예정이니 관람하고 싶은 작품의 시간대를 잘 확인하여 방문하시기 바란다고 했다.
