보산동 새마을남․녀지도자회는 지난 6월부터 매주 목요일 경로당, 상가지역, 주택밀집지역 등 관내 취약지역을 중심으로 연무소독을 실시했으며, 수풀을 제거하거나 모기퇴치 행동수칙을 주민에게 홍보하는 등 꼼꼼한 예방활동을 전개했다. 

이용구 새마을지도자협의회장은 “우리 보산동이 안전하고 살기 좋은 곳이 될 수 있도록 내년에도 새마을지도자협의회가 앞장서서 방역활동을 실시하겠다”며 앞으로도 지속적인 방역 자원봉사를 약속했다.

한편, 강성진 보산동장은 “건강한 보산동 만들기에 몸을 아끼지 않고 적극 협조해주신 새마을 회원님들 덕분에 주민들이 쾌적한 환경에서 여름을 보낼 수 있었다”며 감사의 말씀을 전했다.
