[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 1일 (사)양주시 자원봉사센터가 사단법인으로 공식 출범하며 첫 이사회를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

사단법인으로 새 출발한 자원봉사센터는 회천3동 파르코프라자 6층으로 확장 이전하며 재정과 사업추진에서 독립적인 지위를 얻었다고 전했다.  

이번 이사회는 코로나19 방역수칙을 철저히 준수하며 이사 15명, 감사 2명이 참석한 가운데 운영규정 승인에 관한 의안심의, 사단법인 출범식 계획 보고, 상반기 운영성과 보고 및 하반기 중점사업 안내하는 순으로 진행했다고 했다. 

이사회는 지난 4월 초대 이사장으로 이성호 양주시장을 선임하고 자원봉사단체, 사회복지기관 및 수요처, 학계, 법조계, 기업 등 15명의 분야별 대표 전문가들로 구성됐다고 했다. 

센터는 오는 5일 자원봉사센터 대회의실에서 출범식을 개최하고 보다 체계적이고 전문적인 자원봉사센터로 전환한다고 전했다.

박종성 센터장은 “사단법인 양주시자원봉사센터의 출범이 시작된 오늘 이사회에 함께해 주신 이사분들에게 감사하다”며 “민간주도 자원봉사 활성화의 기반 마련을 목표로 법인 출범을 새로운 도약의 기회로 삼아 5만 7천여 명 자원봉사자들과 시민, 복지기관들과 적극적으로 소통하며 시민 주도의 자원봉사 문화를 이끌어 나갈 것”이라고 소감을 밝혔다.
