[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 29일 포천시는 경기도청 북부청사에서 경기도-북동부 3개 시군 간 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 업무협약은 그간 중첩규제 등으로 ‘특별한 희생’을 감내해온 포천시와 경기도, 가평·연천군이 함께 ‘특별한 보상’ 추진과 상생발전을 위한 공동협력을 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

협약식에는 이재명 경기도지사와 박윤국 포천시장, 김성기 가평군수, 김광철 연천군수가 참석했으며, 중첩규제 등으로 낙후된 북동부 지역의 ‘규제합리화’를 위한 공동 노력, 북동부 지역의 ‘특별한 희생’에 대한 ‘특별한 보상’을 위한 다양한 지원, ‘제2차 경기도 지역균형발전 기본계획’의 성공적 추진을 위한 공동협력의 정책과제 등을 협력하기로 했다고 전했다.

특히 포천시는 제2차 경기도 지역균형 발전 기본계획에 따라 ‘세종~포천 고속도로 선단IC 연결 도로 확포장 공사’ 등 5개 사업을 2024년까지 총 사업비 610억 원(도비 450억, 시비 160억)을 투입해 낙후된 지역 인프라를 개선할 계획이라고 전했다.
