[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 16일 동두천시는 청소년의 달을 맞이하여, 동두천시와 동두천경찰서, 동두천시 청소년유해환경감시단 등 총 10여 명이 참여한 가운데 합동으로 청소년유해환경 감시활동을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

청소년의 달을 맞아, 생활주변 청소년유해업소에 대한 민·관·경 합동 점검 및 단속 활동을 통해 유해업소 업주 및 종사자에게 청소년보호 의식을 확산하고, 학교 주변 및 번화가 노래방 등에서 청소년 일탈이 범죄로 이어지지 않도록, 예방활동을 추진했다고 말했다. 

특히, 청소년 보호를 위한 캠페인 및 계도 활동, 청소년 출입·고용금지 위반행위 집중단속, 청소년출입금지표시 미부착, 청소년대상 유해약물 술·담배 등 판매금지표시 미부착 등을 집중적으로 단속·점검했고, 편의점에서 청소년들이 유해약물을 구입하려고 할 경우, 신분증을 철저히 확인하도록 업주 및 종사자들에게 협조를 요청했다고 했다. 

동두천시와 동두천시청소년유해환경감시단은 학교 주변, 번화가, 유흥지역에서의 청소년 일탈행위 예방 및 구조·연계 활동을 통해 청소년보호를 꾸준히 진행해나갈 방침이라고 했다.
