[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 7월 13일 (재)의정부시상권활성화재단은 의정부시희망회복종합복지센터와 함께 의정부역사 주변에 여름맞이 물청소 및 수도권 사회적 거리두기 4단계 격상으로 인하여 코로나19 방역도 함께 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 청소는 무더운 여름의 장마를 대비하여 그동안의 대청소와는 다르게 장마철의 높은 습도로 인한 의정부역사 주변의 악취와 각종 오물 등을 정리하고 장마 기간 동안의 폭우를 대비하여 배수로 정리 및 배수구 청소와 역사 주변 악취 냄새의 주범인 생활 쓰레기 정리도 함께 진행행했다고 했다.

현재 코로나19 확진자 증가로 수도권은 사회적 거리두기 4단계인 상태로 더 이상의 코로나19 확산 방지와 시민들의 안전을 보장하기 위해 의정부시상권활성화재단에서는 코로나19 방역도 함께 진행했다고 했다.

의정부역사 주변 물청소와 방역을 함께 진행함으로써 조금 더 쾌적하고 코로나19로부터 안전한 환경을 만들어 역사 주변 상인들과 시민들이 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 의정부역 주변을 만들자는 취지로 이번 청소를 진행했다고 전했다.
