[김준호 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 장애물 없는 생활환경 조성을 위해 2023년도 소규모 민간시설 접근성 개선사업 수요조사에 나선다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 음식점, 약국, 이·미용실 등 소규모 공중이용시설에 자동문·경사로·점자블럭 등 장애인 편의시설을 설치 지원하는 사업으로, 2023년에는 개소당 최대 400만원까지 지원한다.

지원 대상은「장애인등편의법」상 편의시설 의무설치 대상이 아닌 시설이며, 오는 31일까지 태백시장애인편의증진기술지원센터 또는 각 동 주민센터로 방문 접수하면 된다. 

시는 신청 이후 현장 확인 및 실태조사를 거쳐 대상자를 선정, 2023년 상반기 중 시설 개선을 지원할 예정이다.

시 관계자는 “대상 시설과 주변 여건을 고려해 편의시설 설치 우선순위를 결정, 장애인의 이동편의와 접근성을 지속적으로 향상시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
