[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 북부지방산림청(청장 최수천)은 5일 여름철 자연재난대책기간 내 장마 및 태풍 등으로 인한 산림재해 예방을 위해 산사태방지 대책회의를 개최했다. 

이날 회의에서는 관내 산사태 방지 대책 추진 현황을 점검하고, 산림사업장의 산사태 예방·대응을 위한 향후 대책 및 안전사고 예방 등 조치사항에 대하여 총괄 점검했다. 

북부지방산림청은 여름철 산사태 예방을 위하여 관내 산사태취약지역 1,314개소에 대하여 상반기 점검 완료하였으며, 여름철 자연재난대책기간 동안 산사태 위기경보 수준에 따라 산사태 대책상황실을 강화 운영할 계획이다.

아울러, 올해 집중호우로 인한 산사태 등 산림재해 예방을 위해 사방사업에 100억여원의 예산을 투입하여 사방댐 24개소, 계류보전 14km, 산림유역관리사업 1개소, 사방댐 준설 20개소 등을 추진하였다.

최수천 청장은 “기상이변으로 발생하는 국지성 호우, 태풍으로 인한 산림재해 및 인명·재산 피해가 발생하지 않도록 다중이용시설, 산사태취약지역 등에 대해 지속적인 점검을 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
