[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 4월 20일 김상회 수원시장 예비후보는 수원의 최대 농수산물 유통시장인 수원농수산물도매시장의 한춘애 수산조합회장과 이병구 부조합장 등 6명의 조합장과 간담회를 가졌다고 밝혔다. 

수원농수산물도매시장 조합원실에서 가진 이날 간담회에서 김 후보는 시장현대화사업 과정에서 발생한 여러 가지 문제들을 논의하고 상인들의 애로사항을 경청했다고 전했다. 

김상회 예비후보는 “경기도의원으로 있을 때 시장현대화사업을 위해 일정부분 힘을 모았다”며 “현대화사업이 마무리되고 6월 준공과 함께 본격적인 수원지역 농산물유통의 메카로 거듭날 것”이라고 기대감을 표시했다. 

한 회장과 이 부조합장은 “현대화사업 과정에서 주차, 시설 등 상인들과 협의 부족으로 여러 문제가 발생했다”며 ‘수원시에 지속적으로 민원을 요청했으나 해결되고 있지 않는 상태‘라고 답답함을 토로했다.

이에 김상회 예비후보는 “예비후보로서 간담회를 가지며 들은 문제들을 어떻게 해결 할 수 있을 것인가 고심해보겠다”며 “서로의 입장에서 납득할 수 있는 근거와 내용을 가지고 협의하고 조정할 기회를 만들겠다”고 말했다.

아울러 김상회 예비후보는 “시장은 지역경제의 실핏줄 같아서 시장이 활성화되어야 수원경제도 활성화 된다”며 수원시장이 된다면 확실한 방안을 찾아보겠다고 약속했다.     

한편 김상회 수원시장 예비후보는 문재인정부 청와대 대통령비서실 자치비서관실 행정관을 역임한 자치분권 전문가이며, 현재 대한민국특례시시장협의회 특별보좌관, 수원특례시발전연구소 소장을 맡고 있다고 전했다. 

안룡초등학교, 수원중학교, 수원공업고등학교 건축과, 서울신학대 신학과를 졸업했으며, 경기대 일반대학원 행정학 박사과정을 수료했다고 전했다.

한국민예총 수원지부장, 원천천물사랑시민모임 대표, 경기국제인형극제 집행위원장·총감독, 녹색자치경기연대 상임대표 등 거쳐 2010년 경기도의회 의원, 더불어민주당 경기도당 정책실장, 제19대 대선 경기도국민주권선대위 전략기획실장, 제20대 대선 더불어민주당 경기도당 선대위 선거대책본부 공동부본부장 등을 역임했다고 했다.
