[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 4월 25일 김상회 수원시장 예비후보가 김상회캠프를 방문한 수원시민사회단체협의회 정종훈 상임대표, 문은정, 박영철 운영위원장과 정책간담회를 갖고 수원시 사회혁신정책과제에 대해 논의했다고 밝혔다. 

수원시민협은 ‘수원특례시 사회혁신 정책과제 4개 분야 12대 중점과제’에 대해 민선 8기 수원시장으로 당선 후 공동 추진하자고 제안했으며, 김상회 예비후보는 수원시민협에서 제안한 대부분 정책과제들이 공약에 포함돼 있다며 적극성을 보였다고 전했다.   

특히 수원시민협이 제안한 ‘문화예술 특례시’ 관련 예술인 기본소득과 문화예술위원회 설치 등의 경우, ‘예술인수당 증대, 창작레지던시 설립, 문화예술지원센터 운영’ 등 ‘예술이 흐르는 문화도시’ 공약에 있는 등 대부분 김상회 예비후보의 공약에 정책과제들이 포함돼 있다고 했다. 

김상회 예비후보는 “수원에서 오랫동안 시민단체 활동을 해온 터라 시민들이 요구가 무엇이고 어떤 부분이 아쉬운지 잘 알고 있고 경험을 통해 시민들이 삶에서 느낄 수 있는 공약들을 준비했다”며 항상 ‘시민이 시장’이라는 마음가짐으로 시민을 위한 공약을 꼭 지켜내겠다고 약속했다.

김상회 예비후보는 문재인 대통령을 보필해 ‘청와대 대통령비서실 자치발전비서관실 행정관’을 역임했으며 현재 대한민국특례시시장협의회 특별보좌관, 수원특례시발전연구소 소장을 맡고 있다고 전했다. 

안룡초등학교, 수원중학교, 수원공업고등학교 건축과, 서울신학대 신학과를 졸업했으며, 경기대 일반대학원 행정학 박사과정을 수료했다고 했다.

한국민예총 수원지부장, 원천천물사랑시민모임 대표, 경기국제인형극제 집행위원장·총감독, 녹색자치경기연대 상임대표 등 거쳐 2010년 경기도의회 의원, 더불어민주당 경기도당 정책실장, 제19대 대선 경기도국민주권선대위 전략기획실장, 제20대 대선 더불어민주당 경기도당 선대위 선거대책본부 공동부본부장 등을 역임했다고 전했다.
