[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 김상회 수원시장 예비후보가 더불어민주당 수원시장 예비후보들에게 TV공개토론을 제안했다고 밝혔다. 

김상회 후보는 “더불어민주당 수원시장 경선후보들의 구체적인 정치철학과 비전에 대해 시민들이 토론을 보고 판단하도록 기회를 줘야 한다”고 설명하며 “그동안 경선을 준비하면서 후보들이 각자 구상하고 내건 공약을 서로 검증하고 점검해보는 시간이 될 것”이라고 말했다.

이어 김상회 후보는 이라며 “수원특례시민들도 더불어민주당 후보들에게 더 큰 관심을 갖게 될 것”이라며 “후보들이 낸 공약들이 다양하지만 구체적인 추진방안과 어떤 효과가 있는지에 대해서는 이해하기가 쉽지 않은 만큼 공개토론이 수원시민들이 직접 보고 판단할 수 있는 기회가 될 것이고 후보 선택에 큰 도움이 될 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

한편, 지난 22일 더불어민주당 경기도당 당내면접을 통해 김상회 문재인정 전 청와대 행정관, 김준혁 전 더불어민주당 경기도당 대변인, 김희겸 전 행정안전부 재난안전관리본부장(차관급), 이재준 전 수원시 제2부시장이 더불어민주당 수원시장 경선후보로 추려졌다고 전했다.

김상회 예비후보는 문재인 대통령을 보필해 ‘청와대 대통령비서실 자치발전비서관실 행정관’을 역임했으며 현재 대한민국특례시시장협의회 특별보좌관, 수원특례시발전연구소 소장을 맡고 있다고 했다. 

안룡초등학교, 수원중학교, 수원공업고등학교 건축과, 서울신학대 신학과를 졸업했으며, 경기대 일반대학원 행정학 박사과정을 수료했다고 했다.

한국민예총 수원지부장, 원천천물사랑시민모임 대표, 경기국제인형극제 집행위원장·총감독, 녹색자치경기연대 상임대표 등 거쳐 2010년 경기도의회 의원, 더불어민주당 경기도당 정책실장, 제19대 대선 경기도국민주권선대위 전략기획실장, 제20대 대선 더불어민주당 경기도당 선대위 선거대책본부 공동부본부장 등을 역임했다고 전했다.
