군은 이번 서비스를 위해 예산 확보 및 충청지방우정청과 협약을 체결한 상태이며 장애인복지카드 발급 신청자는 별도 비용부담 없이 해당서비스를 이용할 수 있다고 했다.

우편 개별배송 서비스는 장애인복지카드 수령 시 읍·면사무소를 방문하지 않고 가정에서 장애인복지카드와 안내문을 등기로 받을 수 있는 맞춤형 서비스로, 통상 15일 이상 소요되었던 발급기간을 7일 이내로 단축하는 등 민원인의 불편 해소에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다고 전했다.

최영훈 행정지원국장은 “장애인 맞춤형 서비스 지원을 통해 위드코로나 시대에 대면 최소화로 감염병을 사전 예방하며, 신속한 민원행정 처리로 장애인복지서비스를 강화할 수 있도록 적극 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
