[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 7일 동해안권 발전포럼(강원연구원, 대구경북연구원, 울산연구원)이 주최하고 강원도가 후원하는 「제13회 동해안권 발전포럼」이 “위드코로나 시대의 동해안권 발전방안 모색”이라는 주제로 강원연구원에서 관계 전문가들이 Zoom으로 접속하여, 온라인으로 개최된다고 밝혔다.

이날 포럼에서는 한국관광학회장을 역임한 순천향대학교 정병웅 교수가 ‘위드코로나 시대의 동해안권 발전방안’을 주제로 한 기조강연을 시작으로, 제1주제 ‘강원‧경북 초광역연계사업을 통한 동해안권 경쟁력 강화방안’, 제2주제 ‘특화 해양헬스케어 발굴을 통한 해양자원 부가가치 제고 방안’, 제3주제 ‘치유산업 관점에서 본 동해안권의 잠재력과 미래’에 대해 관련 전문가와 3개시도 공무원들이 참석하여 심도 깊은 논의가 진행될 예정이라고 했다.

최승극 강원도청 균형발전과장은 ‘오늘 이 자리에서 논의될 위드코로나 시대에 동해안권이 나아가야할 방향과 제시된 다양한 성공전략들이 구체적으로 실현되어 진정한 동해안 발전의 길잡이가 되길 기대한다’ 고 말했다.

한편 동해안권 발전포럼은 2007년 동해안권 시도지사 협의회 합의로 설립되어 3개 시도(강원‧경북‧울산) 연구원이 함께 동해안권 발전에 대한 정책개발 및 자문을 하고 있으며, 올해로 13회째 맞고 있다고 전했다.
