경기광주역 행복주택은 2019년 4월 착공하여 올해 11월말 사용검사 승인을 득하고 오는 11월 30일(입주지정기간 60일) 입주를 앞두고 있다고 전했다.

총 500세대 규모의 단지로, 전용면적 22㎡, 36㎡, 44㎡ 등 3가지 타입으로 이루어져 있으며, 이중 400세대를 신혼부부와 청년에게 공급하여 내 집 마련이 어려운 젊은 계층에게 안정적인 주거환경을 제공한다고 했다.

또한 경기광주역(경강선)에서 도보 5분거리의 초역세권에 위치하고 있으며, 판교역까지 12분, 강남역까지 35분이면 도달할 수 있다고 전했다.

특히 단지 내에 국공립 어린이집을 설치하여 맞벌이 부부의 양육부담을 완화하고 우수한 보육환경을 제공했으며, 공용시설에는 공동주방, 공동세탁실, 피트니스 등의 편의시설 및 커뮤니티 시설을 마련하여 입주민에게 보다 편리하고 안정적인 주거환경을 제공할 예정이라고 했다.

이 밖에도 청소‧경비 등 현장노동자의 휴식을 위하여 휴게시설을 지상에 배치하고 작업 후 씻을 수 있는 샤워시설, 냉·낭반 시설을 설치했다고 했다.
