[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군이 지난 7일부터 10일까지 4일간 가평문화창작공간 얼쑤공장에서 진행한 '제31회 경기도 청소년연극제 북부권역 예선대회'가 성황리에 맞쳤다고 밝혔다.

가평군이 주최/주관하고 (사)한국연극협회 가평지부가 진행을 맡은 이번 청소년연극제는 경기도 북부권역 6개 시·군(가평, 의정부, 파주, 고양, 양주, 포천)의 고교 연극팀 8팀이 참가하였다. 

경연 첫날인 지난 7일에는 가평고(가평)·덕계고(양주), 8일에는 경민고(의정부)·백마고(고양), 9일에는 일산국제컨벤션고(고양), 10일에는 포천고·송우고(포천)·문산수억고(파주)의 청소년 연극팀이 출전하여 그동안 갈고 닦은 연극무대를 선보였다. 

이번 청소년연극제에서 대상을 수상한 5팀 '문산수억고, 포천고, 경민고, 덕계고, 가평고'는 오는 7월 20일부터 24일까지 5일간 포천시 반월아트홀에서 열리는 “제31회 경기도 청소년연극제 본선대회”에 참가할 수 있는 자격이 주어졌다. 

청소년연극제 심사위원을 맡은 (사)한국연극협회 경기도지회 이은정 이사는 “연극제에 참가한 모든 청소년들의 연극을 향한 열정에 감사드리며, 앞으로도 청소년들이 자신의 마음을 대변하는 연극 작품을 통해 예술적 재능과 끼를 마음껏 발휘해 주길 바란다.”고 밝혔다.

한편, 가평군은 지난 2014년부터 관내 초, 중, 고등학교에 청소년들에게 다양한 경험과 끼를 발산하는 기회를 제공하고자 학교연극동아리 운영을 지원해오고 있다.
