이날 행사에서 선단사랑봉사회 봉사자 10여 명은 4종의 반찬세트와 식료품을 담은 사랑의 꾸러미를 직접 만들어 선단동 관내 저소득 및 홀몸어르신 가구 등 25가구에 전달했다고 했다.

나삼옥 회장은 “추석 명절을 맞아 도움이 필요한 주변 이웃을 살피는 뜻깊은 행사를 실시하게 되어 기쁘다. 정성을 담은 물품과 밑반찬을 직접 전달하며 이웃사랑을 실천하게 되어 보람차다.”라고 말했다.

배상철 선단동장은 “어려운 이웃을 위해 참여한 회원분들을 격려하며 앞으로도 지역 소외주민들을 위한 봉사가 많이 이루어질 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 말했다.
