[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 6월 24일 오후 2시 의정부시 안병용 시장은 의정부예술의전당 국제회의장에서 의정부시 행정혁신위원회, (사)전환기행정학회와 공동으로 '포스트 코로나 시대 지방교육 발전 방안'을 주제로 ‘2021 의정부포럼’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

올해로 4번째를 맞이하는 이날 의정부포럼은 심익섭 행정혁신위원장의 기조발제 ‘포스트 코로나 시대의 지방교육 혁신 방향’을 시작으로 임종근 한양대학교 교수가‘대한민국 교육의 명암과 의정부의 미래교육 방향’을,  송성숙 대진대학교 교수가 ‘코로나 시대 이후의 지방교육 발전 방안’을 발표하였으며, 일선 교육현장의 교사와 학부모, 의정부시진로직업체험센터장이 참여하여 토론과 질의응답의 시간을 가졌다고 했다. 

2시간 동안 민·관·학이 함께 코로나19로 급변하고 있는 교육환경을 바라보는 다양한 시각을 공유하는 한편, 공교육의 위기상황과 혁신 필요성에 대한 공감대를 형성했고, 학교 현장에서 필요한 변화에 대해 심도있는 논의와 다양한 의견을 적극적으로 교환함으로써 공교육환경의 위기상황과 극복방안을 다각적으로 모색했다고 말했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “교육환경의 변화를 수용하고 포스트 코로나 시대에 맞춘 교육의 전환을 위한 교육 패러다임의 변화는 선택이 아닌 필수”라고 말하며, “오늘 의정부포럼은 포스트 코로나 시대에 주역으로 성장할 다음 세대의 아이들을 위하여 지방교육의 새로운 시도와 공교육의 역할을 되새길 수 있는 유의미한 시간으로 앞으로도 민․관․학이 협력하여 많은 전문가들의 지혜가 한데 모아져 우리 의정부시민들께 필요한 정책으로 영글어지는데 의정부포럼이 선도적인 역할을 할 수 있기를 희망한다.”라고 밝혔다.
