안병용 의정부시장은 “코로나19가 여전히 심각한 상황으로 시민들과 공무원들이 많이 지친 상황이지만 긍정의 힘으로 서로 협력하고 격려를 통해 이 위기를 슬기롭게 극복해 나가길 바란다”라고 당부했다. 

이외에도 이날 회의는 2020 회계연도 결산 추진, 의정부 음악도서관 개관, 사각지대 저소득층 한시 생계지원 추진, 권역별 5월 가정의달 맞이 복지사업 등 5월 주요 현안사항을 중점적으로 논의했다고 말했다.
