[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5월 20일 의정부시 안병용 시장은 자치교육 역량강화를 위해 경기도의정부교육지원청과 의정부미술도서관에서 의정부혁신교육포럼을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

경기도 지역혁신교육포럼 설치 및 운영 조례 및 ‘혁신교육지구 시즌 Ⅲ 추진을 위한 의정부시와 의정부교육지원청 간의 2021년 부속합의’에 따라 개최된 이번 포럼에는 안병용 의정부시장, 김진선 의정부교육지원청 교육장, 오범구 의정부시의회 의장 및 기획위원, 분과위원 등 총 70여 명이 온라인과 오프라인으로 참여했다고 말했다.

코로나19 등 다양하게 변화하는 교육환경과 자치 교육 시대에 선제적으로 대응하는 한편, 다양한 교육 현안에 대한 자유로운 의견 교환과 의정부 혁신교육을 위해 혁신교육포럼이 나아갈 방향에 대하여 온라인과 오프라인을 통하여 심도 있는 논의가 이루어졌다고 했다. 

이번 포럼은 ‘경계를 넘어 학교와 마을이 함께하는 혁신교육 실현’이라는 비전과 교육자치, 교육협력, 미래교육 3대 목표를 가지고 지난 2021년 3월부터 2026년 2월까지 추진될 혁신교육지구 시즌Ⅲ의 성공적인 진행을 위해 개최됐다고 말했다.
