[김현우 기자 = 포천] 포천시는 지난 14일 포천시청 시정회의실에서 '포천문화재단 관광 업무 위탁 운영 타당성 용역' 최종보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 보고회에는 백영현 포천시장을 비롯해 포천시의회 의원, 포천문화재단, 포천도시공사 관계자, 외부 전문가, 포천시청 관련 부서장 등이 참석했다.

포천문화재단 관광 업무 위탁 운영 타당성 분석을 위해 추진되었던 본 용역은 포천아트밸리, 포천관광정보센터, 비둘기낭캠핑장, 산정호수 등 4개 관광시설에 대한 문화재단 위탁 타당성을 분석하고, 문화재단 관광 기능 확대 검토, 운영계획안 등을 제시했다. 

백영현 포천시장은 “민선8기 포천시는 포천천 블루웨이 조성 사업, 한탄강 대규모 공연․캠핑 문화레저단지 조성 사업 등 다양한 관광 활성화 사업을 추진하고 있다.”며, “최근 국내외 많은 도시에서 관광산업을 다른 분야와 융합하는 추세다. 포천문화관광재단 출범을 통해 효율적이고 전문적인 문화관광시설 운영이 가능해질 것으로 전망된다. 다시 찾고 싶은 대한민국 최고의 문화관광 도시가 될 수 있도록 많은 관심과 협조를 부탁드린다.”고 밝혔다.
